So, it snowed. A lot.
And when life gives you snow, make snow cream! After going on 36 hours in our 400 square foot apartment and countless episodes of The Wire (Season 2, if you’re keeping up with our TV on DVD watching), I needed an adventure. An expedition to find the freshest snow cream ingredients commenced.
As luck would have it, I only needed to venture 15 feet out my front door to find some quality powder (I hope that’s not slang for some kind of drugs; to clarify, I mean snow). You’ll need about 8 cups.
You’ll also need 5 Tablespoons of sugar, one Teaspoon of vanilla extract, and about 1 cup of half and half (or cream or milk).
Mix everything together with vigor. For obvious reasons, you’ll need to work quickly. It will reduce significantly. Because Nemo had 3 hours of sustained wind gusts, limited visibility, and high snow accumulation rates (yes, I watched a lot of weather yesterday), we went Blizzard-style by mixing in some add-ins. Jason went on a mission to 7-11 this morning to pick up the m&ms.
Next, stick the bowl in the freezer for 1/2 and then serve.
